the sky is striped with blue.  the sky anticipates dark. the sky has parts pushed down by a heavy navy. the sky is ready for night and sleep and quiet.  the sky is suddenly severe. the sky is sometimes four o’clock for five hours or more.  the sky alternates blue and gray.  the sky alternates orange and ochre. the sky in morning, undeniably pink. the sky in mourning, m o u r.  the sky, in day, makes space for the moon.
